27th Annual MAC Luncheon Raises Over $109,000 for Metro Achievement Center

The 27th Annual Metro Advancement Council (MAC) Luncheon proved to be a remarkable success, with the support of generous contributors helping to raise over $109,000 for the Metro Achievement Center for Girls. The event, held at the Union League Club in Chicago, IL, was attended by over 200 guests who gathered to celebrate and support the impactful programs offered by the center.

The luncheon featured a keynote speech by Sarah Elk, a partner at Bain & Company's Chicago office and a mother of five. Elk provided valuable insights into the challenges and strategies of prioritizing and raising a family in today’s fast-paced world. Her thoughtful address resonated with many in attendance, emphasizing the importance of balance and dedication in family life.

Metro Alumn, Soleil Zamora, speaking about her journey.

Soleil Zamora, an alumna of the Metro Achievement Center, also took the stage to share her inspiring journey as a student at Metro. Her reflections highlighted the positive and lasting impact the center has had on her personal and academic development.

Jody Madler, a former Midtown-Metro staff member, led the event with warmth and serenity.
