Celebrating Mrs. Villasenor's Years of Service at Midtown-Metro Achievement Center
For over 40 years, at the very heart of Midtown-Metro Achievement Center, we have been blessed to have Anotonia Villasenor, affectionately known throughout the organization as Mrs. V. While her tireless commitment to caring for the facilities made her indispensable as the Housekeeping Manager, her spirit of service and selflessness made her a source of inspiration and an exemplar of Midtown-Metro’s mission for staff and students alike. On January 19, we honored Mrs. V and commemorated the impact of her career as she embarked on a well-deserved retirement.
“Mrs. V’s role as a Housekeeping Manager was just as valuable to our organization as that of any of our Executive Directors or Board members,” said Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers Executive Director, Vince Meno. “I want to publicly thank Mrs. V for being a living example of our organization’s values, especially through the way she sanctified her daily work.”
Despite officially beginning her retirement on December 19th, Mrs. V is not saying goodbye just yet. She has graciously volunteered to maintain the Metro Chapel – a space she always nurtured with special attention and a haven where staff frequently discovered her in quiet prayer.
Anne Snow, Metro Achievement Center's Parent Program Director, captures the sentiments expressed by both current and former Midtown-Metro staff members regarding Mrs. V’s contributions: "Mrs. V's service has been central to our mission at Metro. Her eye for the other, her awareness of the needs of others is a quality we strive to instill in our students. Her genuine care for people through her meticulous work, tending to every small detail, elevated the center. Her commitment extends beyond the professional realm, creating an environment where everyone experiences the beauty of feeling truly at home. This is more than an organization; it's a home.”
As we celebrate Mrs. V’s well-deserved retirement, we honor her not only for her essential work as the Housekeeping Manager but also as a cherished member of our Midtown-Metro family, leaving us a legacy of enduring warmth and excellence.
