CHICAGO –  Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF), a local nonprofit offering after-school and summer enrichment programs to students from low-income neighborhoods since 1965, has opened registration for its Summer 2022 Achievement Camps. The affordable camps at MEF’s Midtown Center for boys and Metro Achievement Center for girls combine summer fun with personal and academic growth, helping students stay sharp and better prepared for the upcoming school year. Space will continue to be limited due to COVID-19 precautions, so parents of rising 4th-12th graders should get an early start by applying online on the MEF website.

All student programs will be fully in-person this summer. Parents can be assured that Midtown & Metro will continue to follow City of Chicago COVID guidelines.

“After our experience with fully in-person programming for summer 2021 and this school year, our staff is very confident in our ability to deliver our programs safely with the same amazing benefits to our students and parents,” says Metro Achievement Center Director, Erin Aldrich. “We are also excited that one of the core elements of our programs, individual mentoring, will be reinvigorated this summer with all students and mentors being able to meet and build connections in-person.”

Here is what parents and students can expect at Midtown & Metro this summer:
