Midtown and Metro to Begin Fall Programs Remotely

Chicago, IL: Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) is officially announcing that all school year programs for its Midtown Center for boys and Metro Achievement Center for girls will begin remotely this fall with the hope of transitioning to in-person programming later in the year. This hard decision was made a little easier because of all the positive feedback given by students and parents for MEF’s remote summer programs, which just completed on July 31st. Midtown and Metro will continue to build on the success and lessons learned from this spring and summer and will harness feedback from students, parents and a vast network of educators to design an effective remote program while maintaining MEF’s mission of promoting academics, virtues, individual mentoring, and parental engagement.

It is not what we hoped for but after such a successful remote summer program, we feel confident the students we serve will continue to receive the programming support and individual attention they need to succeed now and in the future. Finalizing this decision helps us to move forward and focus on planning a robust remote program that will compliment the education they receive in their schools

With ever changing school guidelines and opening plans, Midtown and Metro is providing a stable foundation with confident and reliable support to our students and families regardless of what schools decide.

Midtown and Metro’s school year programs will begin on September 28th and registration will open on August 31st.  Programs will have a heavy emphasis on individual tutoring and mentoring to provide custom support to students who have had varying levels of academic engagement since the spring school closures.
