Your help can provide a student with the individual attention they need to find both personal and academic success.

  • Tutor the same student each week for at least one full academic semester. You help the student develop study skills, prepare for upcoming tests, and finish homework.

  • Set goals with your student to help them grow personally and academically.

  • Call the parents weekly to make sure the student is both doing their weekly goals and finishing homework. A key component of our tutoring program is the relationship between our tutors and our parents.

The Auxiliary Board focuses on the following three primary goals:

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT

Over 300 young professionals work weekly with one 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student. The majority are referred by a friend.

VOLUNTEER RETENTION

Tutor socials, the annual Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Party, a MEF running team, and more keep tutors engaged.

FUNDRAISING

Primarily through the Raffle for the Kids and Summer Rooftop Soiree, the Auxiliary Board looks to raise funds to support the programs that help kids and parents at Midtown & Metro unlock their potential.
