News Release
Chicago — Kristi Savacool, chief executive officer of Aon Hewitt, and Mary Presberg, director of PwC's Financial Services Risk and Regulatory Practice, have joined the board of directors at Midtown Educational Foundation in Chicago.
Savacool is responsible for leading strategy, client solution design and operations for Aon Hewitt. Presberg assists top tier financial institutions with managing and implementing change driven by new regulation and strategic risk management objectives. Their appointments expand the board to 31 executives with deep experience in accounting, banking, consulting, education, human resources, information technology, law, management, and real estate.
Midtown Educational Foundation is dedicated to closing the achievement gap for Chicago's urban youth ages 8 to 18. Its Metro Achievement Center for girls and Midtown Center for boys serve more than 1,000 at-risk children from low-income families through after-school and summertime enrichment programs that combine academics with virtues and individual attention with parental engagement. For the past 15 consecutive years, every high school senior participating in its college orientation program has earned a diploma and enrolled in college. Ninety-one percent of its alumni have either already graduated from college or are still enrolled.
Savacool joined Aon Hewitt in 2005 after a diverse 25-year career at The Boeing Company and became CEO in 2012. Presberg, who joined PwC in 2006, had extensive prior experience in the financial services industry.
