Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers Celebrates being listed among Crain’s Best Places to Work Chicago

Ranked #33! Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers Soars on Crain’s Chicago Best Places to Work List

CHICAGO, IL (September 12, 2024)

Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers (Midtown-Metro), a Chicago nonprofit offering after-school and summer academic enrichment programs to underserved 3rd-12th grade students, has been named one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in Chicago, ranking #33 on the esteemed list, and the highest-ranked nonprofit organization. This recognition highlights Midtown-Metro’s commitment to creating a positive and empowering work culture, as well as the passion and dedication of its team members.

The Crain’s Best Places to Work program evaluates organizations based on both company policies and employee satisfaction. The process, conducted by Workforce Research Group, an independent workplace research firm, included an employer questionnaire and a confidential employee survey, with employee feedback accounting for 80% of the overall score. The assessment, which took place in March and April, examined workplace culture and practices, recognizing organizations that meet high standards of excellence. Midtown-Metro was selected from eligible organizations with employees based in the seven-county Chicago area of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will in Illinois and Lake in Indiana.

Executive Director, Vince Meno, expressed pride in the achievement:

Representatives from Midtown-Metro’s three Centers attended the award ceremony alongside Board President, Fred Zaeske,  The celebration held at the Hilton in downtown Chicago, brought together fellow Crain’s Best Places to Work honorees. The final rankings were announced live on stage with opportunities to network with and learn from fellow winners..

Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers' recognition on Crain’s Best Places to Work list highlights the organization’s dedication to creating a supportive and thriving workplace. This honor further reflects Midtown-Metro’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for both employees and students to grow and succeed.
