FOR THE PAST 22 YEARS, 100% OF MEF STUDENTS HAVE ACHIEVED HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION AND ACCEPTANCE INTO A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE

MEF’s approach can be remembered with the help of an acronym that also describes every child it serves: “A V.I.P.”

  • The “A” stands for ACADEMICS. MEF enables children to compete in college-prep high schools and then enter good colleges through academic instruction and tutoring.

  • The “V” stands for VIRTUE. The lessons of virtue and moral character are taught along with academics to create a solid foundation for a good student and a good citizen.

  • The “I” stands for INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION. We believe the best motivation is personal friendship and attribute a large part of the success of our programs to the individual mentoring and tutoring each student receives.

  • The “P” stands for PARENTS. MEF operates on the principle that parents are the primary educators of their children. We provide valuable support through educational seminars on parenting, one-on-one consultations, and more.

During the summer, we keep giving our families the “A V.I.P.” treatment through a holistic approach to summer camp that takes these academic and personal enrichment opportunities and combines them with lots of fun summer recreational activities.

Real Parent Experience…

“The big news for us is Kanato made it into Whitney Young High School. We are hoping that this will be the best place for him to continue his education but only time will tell. However, we are very proud of him because he set a goal, did the work and executed the plan which resulted in a success. My wife and I are grateful for the foundation and guidance that Midtown provided in the process. Kanato has mentioned on more than one occasion how Midtown teachers covered material in a way that made it easy to understand which he utilized on the MAP and CPS Selective Enrollment tests. Successful test taking is not always about knowledge. It also requires preparation, confidence, patience and time management which was covered in Midtown classes and practiced in the sample tests. It all makes a difference!”
