Ms. Murray is one of Business Insider's most powerful female engineers of 2018 on the Crain's Chicago Business Tech 50 2018 list and has been named a "STEM Champion for Women and Girls" by Working Mother magazine. She is a board member of The Clara Abbott Foundation. Murray, understanding the power of mentorship, launched Abbott's high school STEM internship program, targeting underrepresented students. She has been an advocate for women and minorities in Engineering for her entire career.

Ms. Murray joined Abbott in 1989. Since then, she has held several management positions in quality, operations, and engineering in Abbott’s Diagnostics and Nutrition businesses. In Abbott Nutrition, she served as Divisional Vice President, Quality Assurance; Divisional Vice President, Manufacturing; and Divisional Vice President, Operations Services.
