2021 Midtown Annual Christmas Basket Project

  • Midtown Center for Boys 1819 N Wood St Chicago, IL 60622 United States (map)

Volunteer or Donate to our Midtown Center for Boys Annual Christmas Basket Project. Each year Midtown partners with local community organizations to help provide Christmas cheer to over 300 families in need. Each family receives a Christmas basket that includes food for a nice Christmas dinner as well as toys for the children of the family.

You can help by:

1. Donating a new unwrapped toy or toys (any age up to 16).*

Families can also organize their own personal toy drive by reaching out to family and friends, collecting the toys, and dropping them off at Midtown.
As of today, we are still in need of:

  • 20 toys for infants to 4 years old

  • 35 toys for 5 to 9 years old

  • 30 toys/gifts for 10 to 13 years old

  • 20 gifts for 14 to 18 years old

2. Sponsoring a family with food and toys. †

3. Helping to load and deliver these baskets from Midtown to the recipients on Saturday, December 18 from 9:30 am-2:00 pm.

Drivers can arrive anytime between 9:30 am and 2 pm and can take as many or as little baskets as they can accommodate.

* Toy donations can be dropped off at:
Midtown Center for boys (
1819 N. Wood St) ; (773) 292-2660
or Metro Achievement Center for girls (310 S Peoria St) ; (312) 226-4886
PLEASE CALL AHEAD to ensure that staff are available to receive your donation

† The deadline to sponsor a family is December 14th. Each sponsor will receive unique instructions for the family they are sponsoring.
