Our volunteers are Chicago area students and businessmen.
Over 150 men dedicate their time once a week to share their talents with Midtown’s inner city boys. While most volunteers serve as tutors and mentors, others help as fine arts teachers, career speakers and field trip chaperones.
With the generosity of our volunteers from companies such as Walgreen Co., JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Mintel International, DePaul, and the University of Illinois at Chicago our students are challenged to form good study habits and relationships.

Attention College students and working professionals!
Midtown provides the perfect opportunities to donate your time and talents to help inner-city youth to achieve academic and personal growth in an environment of friendship and support. As a volunteer, you provide one-on-one attention and serve as a successful adult role model by helping a student with schoolwork and goal-setting.
Why become a volunteer
- You’re needed. You make a difference in the life of an inner-city student in a five-star program!
- You’re rewarded. You learn relationship and people skills and will love seeing your student smile!
- It’s Convenient. You spend just two hours once a week giving time on a day of your choice!
