Program Details:

Each student is paired with a mentor who meets weekly with the student to help her set goals. Also, the student is paired with a tutor who will provide academic support and motivation for the student. During the course of the school year, students will also attend cultural field trips to places such as the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and service trips to various sites through Chicago.

High School students attend Metro because they are focused on their future. They want to improve their grades, prepare for college, and be a part of an environment that promotes hard honest work and positive reinforcement on their day to day decisions. Many of the high schools students have commented on the safety of the center, great friendships they develop, and improvement they have found in their personal lives after attending Metro.
