Walgreens One-on-One ProgramStudents and tutors paired up for weekly one-on-one tutoring. Character development as well as fine arts classes are included. Join us for academic enrichment, fun and the chance to make new friends! Contact:Oscar Calderon Program Details:The One-on-One program is for 4th, 5th and 6th grade boys with average (B-C) range grades, who are academically motivated, but are looking for the supplemental structure and support that will help them achieve. School YearStudents come for one night a week, Monday or Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm and Saturday mornings 10:00am - 12:00pm, September through May. Students receive Character Education, one-on-one academic tutoring, and individual mentoring with the same person each week. There are also opportunities for the students to attend field trips scheduled throughout the semester, including activities such as Christmas caroling and trips to museums in the Chicago area. Summer SessionThe 2010 Summer Reading Program: Volunteer We rely on the generous donation of time from people like you to make our programs happen.
