150 parents attended the annual Parent Conference led by guest speaker Mary Beth Hicks, a columnist with the Washington Times.

Attendance at nightly parent character education talks that mirror what the kids are learning during program sessions has been steadily increasing, reinforcing our emphasis on parental involvement.  Recent topics at Midtown included "How to Motivate My Son" and "How to Live Joyfully When Times Are Tough." 

Also, a new family workshop series at Midtown guides 8th grade students and their parents through a high school preparation and application process.
