White powder falling,
Sleigh bells calling.
Green tinsel tickling,
The chill of wind whistling.
The red fire warm and soothing,
Happy uplifting music keeping us moving.
It’s the big red man giving them gifts,
Not much time to stop, so you must be swift.
Cristina
I see busy snowy covered streets.
I see a city covered in a white blanket.
I hear the hustle and bustle of people trying to get home for dinner.
I hear a horse’s hooves pulling a carriage on a cobblestone street and bells jingling.
I smell turkey roasting in the oven and some homemade pumpkin pie.
I smell the forest pine as I walk past the Christmas tree.
I taste the fresh candy cane I just licked.
I taste the gingerbread cookies with a gumdrop nose coming out of the oven.
I touch the frosty cold windows with my finger.
I touch the blonde silky hair on the rosy-cheeked angel on the Christmas tree.
I feel full of happiness and calmness.
I feel the joy and safety of knowing my family loves me.

Glitter, Sparkle, Jewel
Look, a million jewels falling from
the sky.
They have an everlasting shine.
The shape fit for a princess.
sparkle, sparkle
They come down like glitter,
slow.
I try and catch them, but
they disappear at my grasp.
Oh wait, it’s snow!
Rebecca
Bright Christmas lights like lovely
Christmas trees little jingle bells ringing like
Christmas caroling. I feel cold, I feel nauseous,
I smell snow, I smell chocolate.
Rachel
I see a kitchen full of hungry Italians
I see presents under the tree
I hear music
I hear laughter
I smell homemade cheesecake
I smell canollis
I feel the love
I feel the cold air come in when someone enters the house.
Evelyn
Energetic family like Bill Cosby
Bright night sky
loud laughter
screechy shouts
sweet cookies
Delicious ponche
hot atole
Thick blanket
I touch the tan guitar
I feel warm and happy.
